Ince Castle

This was a really special project to work on. Early in 2025 I was approached by the family of the owner of Ince Castle, Cornwall, about creating a custom kit of the castle for a special birthday. Exactly my kind of project, but this one was at a scale that I hadn’t tackled as a kit-with-instructions project. It was quite an undertaking, with the resulting kit having 6,748 pieces!

The model measures 80cm and is a pretty faithful recreation of the castle exterior, including some of the surrounding trees and planted areas. This unique kit was presented with a specially-designed box and (very thick!) instructions booklet.

It was a pleasure to create, and the reaction from the recipient that is was one of the best presents he’d ever received was truly great to hear!

The kit is 100% genuine LEGO, with some bespoke printing on the windows to represent the panels accurately, plus the title piece.
