Tynemouth Outdoor Pool – complete!

The past few weeks I’ve been working on a model of the proposed plans for the derelict outdoor pool on the southern end of Longsands beach, Tynemouth. Disused since the 1970s, the pool is the subject of a campaign that is gathering great momentum to bring it back into use. Check out the campaign’s website for more information. A whole host of people have been volunteering their time and skills to get this project off the ground, and I’m really excited to be a part of this, creating a Lego version of the plans to make it easier to picture the potential.

The model will be launched at the Old Low Light in North Shields, 13-26th November, as part of the Make A Splash exhibition, aimed at raising awareness of, and money for, the campaign.

More pictures to follow soon…

Tynemouth Outdoor Pool

My latest project is under-way… There’s a disused outdoor pool in Tynemouth, down on the beach. It’s the subject of a campaign run by Friends of Tynemouth Outdoor Pool to get it back into use. They have a very well-thought out business plan. As part of the process of raising awareness of this exciting project, I’m transforming their visualisations into a Lego model! No pics of the model yet (too early on!) but here is the visualisation I’m working with…
